Maddy's 4th Birthday Party

Sunday we had Maddy's 4th birthday party at Al & Brenda's house...they had massive water slides and lots of yummy food...we had a wonderful time as always!

All the big kids were going down the slide and Brady, who typically likes to play by himself, was nowhere to be found....then I looked over and saw this....Brady and Papa having what I can only imagine was an interesting (cryptic I'm sure knowing Brady) conversation.  They are quite a pair!:-)

Setting up Brady's new Pool

Nana got Brady a swimming pool for his birthday and today we decided to set it up! So, Ethan and I supervised while Ryan and Brady got to work....well, Ryan really did all of the work while Brady read (and chewed on) the instructions....they make such a great team:-)

And of course some cereal for a snack after all of the hard work!

Monster's University!!

Tonight we took the boys to see Monster's University...it was Brady's 1st time at the movies and he did great!  Ethan took Mike and Brady took Sully....I just LOVE taking the boys to movies!!

They (Daddy included:-) were clearly excited to go in!

Henson Robinson Zoo...Here Come the Toddler's!

Brady's daycare class had their fieldtrip today to the zoo in Springfield and as always I went along (I LOVE fieldtrips...as a working mama it is my chance to spend time with my boys during the day and to see them interact with their friends...I haven't missed one yet and I don't plan on missing any in the future...knock on wood!!)

Feeding the goats....this was by far his favorite part, he wasn't even the slightest bit nervous about these aggressive animals!

Time to feed the fish!  (This made me super nervous....a bunch of 2 year olds climbing on the fence and sticking their heads through the opening with a big pond of water below....we fed the fish FAST and then moved on!

LUNCH TIME!  This was before we knew about Brady's allergies....hence a lunch box full of dairy and wheat (cheese stick, yogurt, cheese puffs, and PB&J). 

It was a fun day with my little monster....can't wait until next time!:-)

Sunday Fun Day! Trip to the Peoria Zoo!

On a whim we decided to take the boys to the Peoria Zoo this afternoon.

 

Ethan was all about getting his picture taken....

 

 

Until he realized he had to go to the bathroom....NOW!

 

We even got to feed a giraffe!

And then we got to feed the birds!

 

Brady loved it right away....

 

Ethan was a little nervous at first, but once he got the hang of it he had a great time...we practically had to drag him out:-)
