So Full!

My sister and I took Ethan to a christmas concert last night, it was at Christ the King church and included the choirs of Christ the King and Laurel Methodist Church. The music was absolutely beautiful and I think Ethan really enjoyed it!

Before we left I made sure to feed Ethan so that he would be content during the concert....he was pretty full!!

Cooper didn't want me to leave....or he wanted to go with, not sure which!

Ethan's Baptism

Last night our precious little Ethan was baptized. We were so lucky to have our dear friend, Larry Kearney, baptize Ethan. Larry is a Deacon and he and his wife Susan have been friends of the Cour family since Ryan was little. He did such a wonderful job to make the baptism a truly blessed event that we will always remember.

Before Larry began the service he told us all of a legend based in Jewish folklore....it was such a neat story that I thought I would share it with you all.

While the infant grows in the womb, an angel comes and places a lighted candle at the head of the unborn infant, so he or she can see from one end of the world to the other. So too does the angel teach the unborn child all about heaven. Then, when the time comes for the child to be born, the angel extinguishes the light in the womb and brings forth the child into the world. And the instant the child emerges, the angel lightly strikes its finger to the child’s lip, as if to say “Shh,” causing the child to forget everything learned in the womb...and thus explaining the origin of the mysterious indentation we all have on our upper lips.

The legend goes on to say that the angel watches over the child all of his days, serving as a guardian angel. And when the time comes for the child to take leave of this world, the angel leads him from this world to the next.

The blessing of the water.

Ethan is baptized....the water was cold but he did really good! No cries (yet)!

"Okay, I don't like this cologne anymore!"

We Love to Shop!

So, I put Ethan in his car seat and told him we were going for a ride....

When I told him we were going shopping he was clearly pumped!

Such Funny Expressions!

Ryan, Ethan, Harley, Cooper and I all hung out on the couch last night watching movies and Ethan was being quite talkative to Daddy...I just know he was telling him a great story, if only we could understand what all of his grunts and oohs and aahs mean!

Our Little Burrito

Ethan loves to be swaddled at night...however by morning he has usually managed to squeeze at least part of his little hand out

Sparky Decorates the House

So, Ryan told me that he wanted to put up Christmas lights this year....I had no idea that I was married to Clark Griswold!!! Now I can call him Sparky without him complaining about it!

Nap Time!

I just love to watch Ethan sleep....especially when he falls asleep in his bouncer. He makes the funniest expressions....

Here he is sleeping peacefully...

this is one of Ethan's favorite sleeping positions, with both hands up...

the pursed lips....

the one eye open...

and my favorite....when Ethan smiles in his sleep....I'm sure he is thinking about how much he loves his Mommy and Daddy:-)

Fun in the Rainforest

Ethan had so much fun this afternoon laying in his "rainforest." He even held on to a rattle for the first time!!

Talking to Daddy

Ethan loves to stare at Ryan while Ryan is trying to burp him....the look on Ethan's face as Ryan smiles and talks to him is just priceless!

Nap Time with Mommy

So I was going through the most recent pictures on the camera to post them to the blog and I found this picture of Ethan and I napping this afternoon...not the best picture of Mommy but Ethan is just so adorable I had to post it!

All Dressed Up For My First Christmas Party

Ethan went to his first Christmas party last night at the Pirrera's. Of course I had to get him a new outfit for the special occassion.

Grandma Fathauer bought him a new hat for the winter, its a little big but he will grow into it.

At first we weren't sure if he liked it....

But by the look on his face clearly he does!!

Time for a Big Boy Bath!

Ethan took his first "big boy bath" in the bathtub tonight...up until this point we had been bathing him in the kitchen sink. He did such a good job, no cries or fusses....I think he actually enjoyed it!

Ethan just before the bath, he wasn't quite sure what was about to happen...

Hanging out in the bathtub...

So clean!!

"Okay Mom....I'm ready to eat!"
