Dinner at Ft. Myers Beach

Saturday night we went to Ft. Myers Beach and had dinner at Nervous Nellie's.

After dinner we walked around Ft. Myers Beach. Ethan was being silly and of course quickly became the center of attention.

First Trip to the Beach!

First Trip to the Beach - Cape Coral, Florida

Brady was reunited with the Sand....and it took about 10 seconds for him to cover himself in sand!  But he was happy!

Ethan....chilling on his beach towel and eating his lunch.

Brady looks upset, which he was, but it was because we kept moving him away from the waves....he wanted to crawl in the water by himself.

There he goes, crawling for the ocean!

"WHOA!  Look at this Wave Ethan!!"

"And the sand tastes so good!"

Ethan made friends with another little boy on the beach (isn't it amazing how quickly children make friends with each other?  Adults could learn a lot by watching the social interaction of children:-)  As I say that, I should also say that Ethan and this little boy were chasing each other and throwing water on each other!

Night Fishing

The house that we stayed in was along a canal and the boys decided to go fishing tonight....Ethan enjoyed it (for about 5 minutes....short attention span!)

More Fun in the Sun!

Saturday we decided to take it easy during the day and just hang out at the pool while we waited for my Uncle Alan and Aunt Cathy to arrive for the weekend (they live in St. Petersburg).

Night Swimming!

One of the things that we talked to Ethan about on the drive to Florida was how he was going to be able to swim anytime of day, even at night, and even in the dark! You can imagine to a 3 1/2 year old the thought of swimming in the dark was almost unheard of....he was SO excited to swim when we got home from the Bubble Room and Captiva Island. Thank goodness Ryan was so eager to join him:-)

Thursday night we went to Captiva Island to eat at the Bubble Room.

After dinner we walked to the beach to watch the sun set....LOVE Florida sunsets, on the beach, over the water.
