Weekend at Mimi and Papa's
Ryan left yesterday for a two-week business trip to Wisconsin, so Ethan, Brady and I are spending some time at Mimi and Papa's in Shelbyville. Ethan has been having a great time playing basketball and swimming with Papa in Mimi's pool. Brady of course is just enjoying be loved on by Mimi and Papa.

Aunt Joyce's House
Aunt Joyce and Uncle Brad had us and the rest of the Dunaway clan over Saturday. Ethan swam in the pond for the first time and went fishing for the first time. He caught two fish in the first 20 minutes of fishing! He was excited about catching the fish, but also a little uneasy having a fish that close to him. Ethan also had a good time playing with my cousin Ryan's two little girls, Rylie and Cameron. Ethan did get worn out at one point and came inside to hang out with Brady. It was a great day!!

Brady & Ethan...Lots to Say
Well, Brady isn't saying much at this point....just a lot of grunting and cooing and occassionally he will laugh in his sleep. Ethan is saying A LOT right now....for instance:
1) Wispered in Brady's ear "You're my best friend." Melts a mother's heart!
2) I was burping Brady and he asked if he could "cough brady"
3) One of Ethan's favorite words now (other than "why" which he says probably 40 times a day) is no, and I often say to him "you don't tell me no"....the other day I told him "no" and his response was "you don't tell me now Mommy, you need to go to timeout." I couldn't help but laugh:-)
4) Any time Ethan sees me putting on makeup he says "you look pretty Mommy." Nothing better than the approval of a 2 1/2 year old! He also told me that my dress was pretty last night. He is going to make some woman very happy someday....you know, in like 30 years:-)
5) When we tell Ethan its time for bed in the summer, his response lately has been "but it isn't dark out." He thinks that if it is still light out it isn't time for bed. Sounds logical to me!

Maddy's 2nd Birthday Party
