Christmas Morning....
Ethan and Papa playing with his train set....he got the train set last year for Christmas and this year he got some new "choo-choo's" for the train set. When he opened the new trains he pointed out which ones were his and which ones were Papa's....and told Mama that she did not get any:-( The train set is definitely all Ethan and Papa....every time we go visit Mimi and Papa the first thing he does when we get there is find Papa and say "come on Papa...lets go play with choo-choo."

Annual Christmas Baking Day!
Every year around Christmas time I get together with some of my good friends to bake goodies for Christmas! The first year we got together there were three of us (and a couple of bottles of vino) and this year there were 5 of us, 6 little kiddos, and 2 babies "on the way" (plus 2 husbands:-). My how times have changed....definitely it gets better every year!!

Festival of Trees
Ethan and Parker with Santa....unfortunately Ethan thinks that Santa is scary, and apparently Parker does as well! Notice however that Ethan is never too scared to eat popcorn....Ryan was off to the side feeding him popcorn hoping that would make him stop crying...he ate the popcorn, but continued to cry!

A Few of Ethan's Favorite Things
So now that Ethan is 2 years old, I have been thinking about where the time has gone, and what a little man Ethan has turned into. I cannot believe it has been an entire 2 years since he was born....Ryan and I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family, and to have such a special little boy. He really does light up our lives, and everyday is a new adventure! Thank you all for sharing his birthday with us and making it so memorable!
Here are a few of Ethan's favorite things at 2 years old:
1) CARS...he loves everything that moves, has wheels, and goes "Vroom Vroom". Every time we go in the garage he points out "mama's car and dada's car." He even points out "mimi's car" and "papa's car". He is definitely all boy!!
2) Mama and Dada....is it sad that we come behind cars? He is in the stage where he repeats our name continuously until we answer....and when I answer with "ethan" he responds with "What?"....as if to say, what do you want mom, I'm busy! Frustrated, I can't help but laugh every time!
3) Binky and Blanket....this should maybe have been #1....I truly believe that he goes to bed every night without a fight because he is so excited to smell and pick his blanket and suck on his binky....he runs to bed and giggles with glee as he locates both of them...oh the good things in life:-)
4) Grandparents...Mimi & Papa and Nana & Papa....he asks about them at least once a day, and his face lights up everytime he sees them...he is such a lucky little boy to have 4 grandparents that love him so much and that he sees so often.
5) Juice....while he also loves milk and recently started requesting water quite often, his favorite thing is still juice...when he wakes up in the morning the first thing out of his mouth is of course "my cars"....but it is quickly followed by "juice!"
6) Books...I knew he was not a baby anymore when I walked in his playroom and he was laying on his tummy talking out loud while reading a book...he has also started sitting on his potty (a Cars potty that makes a "vroom vroom" sound when you "flush" it...truly obsessed) while reading books. He sits on the potty with a book, and then gets up and goes to his playroom and grabs another book, then goes back and sits down, and repeats the process again and again. He has yet to actually go the bathroom on his potty, so I think he views it has his "reading chair" rather than a potty!
7) Movies....his favorites are: Cars, Toy Story, Madagascar and Finding Nemo.
8) Balls...he is quite good at kicking them around the yard...sorry Papa, looks like he may be a soccer player after all!
9) Food....Ethan's favorites are: hamburgers, strawberries, cheerios, green beans & carrots, milkshakes, ravioli, macaroni and cheese, grapes, goldfish, and mandarin oranges
