Ethan's Second Race!!!

Ryan signed himself up for another 5k and they had a Kiddie Run so we signed Ethan up....this time I got to run it with him:-)

Walking up to the starting line he was a little nervous....

As soon as they said "go" he was off!

I was "encouraging" him as he ran...."go Ethan go.....you're gonna catch them buddy, keep running.....almost there Ethan!"  I told my Mom later than I sounded just like her cheering me on during sports when I was growing up....poor Ethan:-)

He got a medal exactly like Ryan's and was SO proud of himself!!

Ethan's First Race!!

Ryan ran the Scheels 5K today and they had a kids run as well so we signed Ethan up. 

He was a little nervous at first....

He was definitely one of the smallest kids:-)

When they said "go" Ethan jumped out of the way and ran towards Ryan....so Ryan ran it with him.

The race benefited Special Olympics of which Uncle Darrin is the Area Director.  Here is Darrin, Ryan and Ethan after the big race!

College Friends Come to Visit!

My best friends from college, Megan and Julie, came to visit this weekend with their husbands and kiddos....we set up a mini water park in our backyard for the kids.

Ethan's Field Trip to the Fire Station

Ethan's class at school has three field trips planned for this summer. The first one was to the firestation to meet the firemen and see the firetruck. 

Camping With Mimi

We went to Shelbyville for the weekend and when we arrived on Friday Mimi and Papa had created a "campsite" in the backyard with a tent, blow-up pool, grill, cooler, etc.  Mimi had the tent all set up for her and Ethan to watch a movie and spend the night....as the night went on however Mimi realized that spending the night on an air mattress in a tent with bugs and a 3 year old maybe wasn't the best idea, especially when a nice comfortable bed was only a hop skip and a jump away!

Mimi even bought camper lights and strung them from tree to tree with a clothes line to hang Ethan swim trunks on.

Mommy made a DQ run....can't go to Shelbyville without a little DQ.....Papa jumped in the tent to eat some ice cream with Ethan while Mimi got ready for bed.

Memorial Day Pool Party!

The day after Brady's party we went to a Memorial Day pool party at Pete and Carolyn's.  It was the perfect way to relax after the big birthday party.
