Welcome Baby Kailyn!!

My friend Jill Milnes had her baby this week. Her name is Kailyn and she is adorable!! Ethan and I went to visit them on Saturday.

Cooper Does Love Ethan!

This morning Ryan took Ethan to the "man-cave" with him while he finished getting ready (Ryan's closet is in the "man-cave"). I went in to see them and found Ethan and Cooper hanging out together on the couch. I think Cooper is finally warming up to our little man!

Because Ethan was born in October and is a "cold weather baby" he has never spent more than about 2 minutes a day without his socks on. With the weather finally starting to get warmer I took his socks off last night and let his little piggly wigglys breath....here he is stretching them out!

Drool Monster

Ethan is discovering new things every day, and lately he is especially fascinated with hands.

Notice the drool spot on Ethan's shirt....when his binky is out of his mouth he drools constantly! I just know there has to be a tooth or five in there somewhere about to break out!

Friday night is pizza night, and last night we took Ethan to Coz's Pizza. We took his bumbo chair with us so that he could sit up like a big boy!

Spending the Day with Grandma Cour

So Ethan has been going to daycare for almost two weeks now and Grandma Cour, who was watching him 3 days a week, has been missing him terribly. So....Ethan went to Grandma's to spend the day on Friday. As always he had a great time and was the center of attention!

Mall Walking

Grandma & Grandpa Fathauer, Ethan and I went mall walking last Saturday...this was the first time Ethan got to ride in his stroller without being in his pumpkin seat...he LOVED being able to see all the people and feel the "wind" across his face as we raced around the mall!

Ethan Eats His Pjs

Ethan usually lays on our bed for about 10-15 minutes every morning just after his bottle so that he can "digest." Sometimes we turn on cartoons for him and sometimes I just turn on the ceiling fan and that tends to get him very excited. This morning I could hear him talking from the basement, and when I went in to see what he was doing he was chewing on his PJs! I thought that he had somehow gotten out of them, and of course I was so amazed and proud of my little acrobat, but Ryan informed me later that he had taken Ethan's PJs off. I prefer my version of the story, so I posted a video of Ethan just after he wiggled his way out of his PJs:-)

Happy Four Month Birthday!

As I mentioned earlier, Ethan turned 4 months old on Valentine's Day. Yesterday he had his 4-month check-up at the doctor. The doctor said Ethan is doing great and looks fabulous (not sure "fabulous" was his exact wording, but I find it fitting:-)

At 4 months Ethan weighs 13 pounds 10 ounces which puts him in the 25th percentile for weight. We think he must be carrying all of his weight in his cheeks! He is 25 inches long which puts him in the 50th percentile for length.

We are so blessed that we have such a happy and healthy little man and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for him!

Good Morning!

Today is Ethan's first day of daycare, and, like always, he was in a great mood! He woke up at 7 am and did his normal stretches, then he drank his bottle, watched daddy iron his pants, then got dressed and played for a bit in his jumperoo. What a happy little baby we have!!

As you can see from the video, Ethan's new favorite sound to make is "hmmmm"....occassionally he will squeal in between grunts:-)

Happy Valentines Day!!

We had a party last night to celebrate Valentine's Day...Ethan also turned 4 months old so it was a very special day!!

Ethan helped me do dishes tonight, he was mesmorized by the bubbles in the sink and loved watching the water flow. I also think he was quite excited by my bright yellow gloves!

I put Ethan in his crib this morning after his bath so that I could finish getting dressed for Mass. I had him wrapped in a towel and covered with a blanket. When I came back in to get him a couple minutes later, he had managed to kick off his blanket and undo his towel. I think he is going to enjoy running around in just his diaper come summertime!
