Last night Nanny and Grandpa had us over for dinner where we toasted to little Ethan, Nanny and Grandpa's 13th great-grandchild and 10th great-grandson! Ethan is so lucky to have such wonderful great-grandparents! Here is Ethan and Nanny, the hostess with the mostess!! Ethan, Grandpa Dunaway and Grandpa Fathauer Ethan got some one-on-one time with Grandpa Dunaway Grandpa Fathauer giving Ethan a bottle....something he became quite a pro at during our visit:-)
The Cour Family has been very busy!! Friday night Ryan and I went to dinner, just the two of us, for the first time since little Ethan's arrival. I had sushi for the first time in 9 months, and it was fabulous! Grandma and Grandpa Cour were happy to watch little Ethan for us, in fact, we had trouble getting them to let us leave with him at the end of the night!!
Here are Grandma and Grandpa Cour with Ethan when he was only 5 days old.
Ethan made his first trip to the polls today for what is sure to be a historical election! My cousin Liz, her son William and her mother-in-law DiAnne came to visit Ethan and I today. William and Ethan became friends right away! William was very curious about Ethan's binky...but in the end just wanted his hand:-) William showed us all how he can roll over... YEAH! He was so proud of himself! Ethan had his first bottle last night, but I was sleeping and missed it:-( So, here is a picture of his second bottle! He gets one bottle a night from Daddy, and he LOVES it!
We started out the day by going on a walk with Grandma Fathauer. The weather has been so beautiful!! Ethan was a bunny for his first Halloween....I think he made an excellent bunny! Grandma Fathauer took Ethan's pacifier away....clearly he was not happy about it. Ryan decorated his bank as a country western town for Halloween, thus explaining Ryan's costume. I was especially fond of the mustache:-) Ryan, Ethan and Matt Simhauser (aka "Johnny from Karate Kid") When we got home from Ryan's bank Ethan and I sat on the front porch and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Ethan wasn't too fond of the sun in his eyes! The trick or treaters were a bit scary to Harley and Cooper so they had to stay in the back room during trick or treat time. Ethan had his 2 week wellbaby doctor's appointment yesterday, and everything looked great! He is a bit jaundice, so we have to put him in the sun a couple of times a day. Today he was laying in the sun and somehow his diaper almost ended up around his ankles...guess Mommy isn't a diaper pro just yet:-) Ethan is all bundled up and ready to go for our first walk to Washington Park. Cooper heard me tell Ethan that we were going for a walk and got very excited.
